Our Story

However, as concern about food sensitivities and allergies grew, I couldn’t send my brownies to school any more with my children.  I began looking for an equally delicious alternative that my kids could safely share with their friends.  I had always loved popcorn and anything sweet, so I started playing around with a stovetop popper I had received as a wedding present and got to work on perfecting my own recipe for kettle corn.

When I felt that I had come up with the right balance of sweet and salty goodness, I shared the results with family and friends.  Each time I brought kettle corn to a party, the feedback was the same:  “OMG, you gotta sell this stuff!”

Kettle corn is naturally gluten, nut and dairy free, but it had to be good enough that you would crave it even if those things were not of concern to you.  Nobody wants a treat that tastes like a sacrifice.

No Gluten, Nuts or Dairy means that parents can serve it to their kids without worrying. That’s important to us at Kennedy Kitchens.  I won’t bring ingredients into my production facility that would jeopardize my ability to ensure that my kettle corn is safe for those with food allergies or sensitivities. Kennedy Kitchens has grown quite a bit since its humble beginnings in my kitchen, but all of our kettle corn and popcorn varieties are still gluten, nut and dairy free. That’s how we started and we are committed to staying that way.

We use only organic, Non-GMO Project verified corn.  Using Non-GMO Corn makes me feel better about my products but also made my kettle corn taste even better!

I love the fact that when someone picks up a bag of my Kettle Corn, they can see exactly what they are getting. I have nothing to hide. You will never open a bag and find that it is filled with air and crumbs.

I believe most people eat Kennedy Kitchens Kettle Corn first because they love it and secondly, because it is a healthier option.

It is a treat for everyone that can be eaten by anyone.
